Carved Petite Bison Horn Feather Electroformed Pendant Necklace with Labradorite on Soldered Copper Chain
The bison is an amazing animal that can often be seen just outside of Valentine on the Nation Wildlife Refuge. The animal symbolizes strength, abundance, stability, freedom, consistency, gentleness, gratitude, prosperity, and helpfulness. The labradorite incorporated into the design adds a little extra something something! Labradorite was named for where it was first found, the Labrador Peninsula in Canada. Legend claims that the northern lights were trapped in the rocks along the coasts of the peninsula. A drifting Eskimo warrior found these rocks and freed the lights with his spear.

The scientific and intricate process used to add layers of lovely copper is called electroforming. This process can be unpredictable and can take hours to days to complete just one wearable. There may be small perfect imperfections in the copper and it may darken over time. Each piece has been cleansed and sealed.
MergingMetals creates unique and unconventional wearables, each lovingly handcrafted and made with purpose. They hand patina, polish, and apply a metal sealant to each item. From start to finish each piece takes 4 to 6 days to complete. A lot of love goes into each and every piece they create.
