Sisal and Sweetgrass Woven Nshili Bread Basket

These sisal, woven bread baskets are handmade by artisans in Gitarama, Rwanda. The women hand-dye and weave the sisal fibers into these beautiful works of art. The sisal is woven around sweetgrass, a fragrant grass with a subtle sweetness. Each sisal bread basket comes with a string attached to the back so that you can hang it on the wall. In addition to serving bread or making a beautiful table display, these baskets can also be hung as a wall collage.
