Valentine's Cowboy Trail Bridge is the former Chicago & North Western Railroad bridge, and is part of a 195 mile recreational trail converted from an abandoned railway line. It's considered Nebraska's most famous and recognized bridge and is a key part of the longest Rails to Trails project in the United States. The bridge spans the Niobrara River at an impressive quarter of a mile in length and is a popular spot for hikers and bikers, as it offers unmatched scenic views of the surrounding Sandhills prairie, approximately 148 feet in the air.
